NYU GEMS (Girls Electronic Music Stars) is a program I’m involved in and helped start back in 2015 (headed up by Dr. Agnieszka Roginska and with student group SWiTCH (Society for Women in TeCHnology). This year I was teaching once again, this time with the great Toni Blackman!

The underground pioneer and multidisciplinary British artist Russell Haswell was always unapologetically direct whether it came to computer music, noise or techno. He’s back to Bratislava seven years after his first performance at the Next Festival!
The longtime shining star of the New York experimental scene Dafna Naphtali is known by her inventive solo projects and many collaborations in which she combines vocal improvisation with interactive electronics and even robots. Together with the saxophone player Edith Lettner from Vienna she will introduce new material from their prepared album of explosive duets.
Slávo Krekovič who is musically active in various different improvising ensembles (Shibuya Motors, Vritti) will premiere his new project Black_Bots. The performance uses new generative musical system that was developed in Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music in Amsterdam.
The project was supported by the public funding from Slovak Art Council.
